The story of financial technology is significantly longer than most investors realise. The FinTech revolution can be traced back to the invention of the credit card and the ATM in the 1950s and 60s. While this revolution saw the first 50 years of FinTech innovation support the fastest growth in the banking sector the world has ever seen, newer advances in FinTech no longer just enhance banking services, but can replace them altogether. In this environment, do FinTechs still need the banking sector as a market, and how can banks and VCs work with FinTechs to improve services for consumers and businesses alike?

With a fireside discussion including the Head of Technology for Westpac Banking Corporation and one of London’s top VCs, as well as pitches from some of London’s most innovative FinTechs, join us as we take a 360° look at the FinTech revolution.

Speakers include:

  • Karan Jain, Head of Technology – Europe & Americas, Westpac Banking Corporation
  • Jane Walshe, CEO, Enforcd
  • Richard Eaddy, CEO & Director, Hedgebook
